Big Rig Blaze Trivia

S5E13 Blaze the big rig

Trivia[]

  • Gabby, Starla, Darington, Zeg and Watts do not appear in this episode.
  • Going by the production order, this is the fifteenth episode of the fifth season.
  • This is the first episode to air at 10:00 AM.
  • This is the third episode to teach a STEM concept that was already taught early in the series (force), with the others being coding (the Robot Riders miniseries) and momentum (Race to the Top of the World).
  • This is the first time a replayed STEM song is remixed.
  • This is the first time AJ's voice actor did his own singing since Dusan Brown back in Season 1. Reed L. Shannon retired from AJ's singing due to his voice breaking when experiencing puberty.
  • This is the third episode this season where Blaze and AJ don't greet the viewer at the start after The Trophy Chase and Ice Cream Monster Machine, and the thirtieth total.
  • This is the sixth episode to have Blaze's name in the title.
  • This is the second time Blaze has a different horn.
  • The building Blaze swings at in the beginning is Paulina's Pizza.
  • Blaze briefly intersects with Crusher's subplot when he passes by Crusher and Pickle immediately following the Big Rig Roll song.
  • This is one of few episodes to begin with Blaze’s horn.

Running Gags[]

  • While Blaze turns out to be a Big Rig, Pickle hauls large objects hybridized with an animal that scares Crusher once opened.

Allusions[]

  • Blaze bears an uncanny resemblance to Mack the Truck from the Cars franchise, in the Big Rig form.

Goofs[]

  • Many strange errors in the closed-captioning that do not completely match what is said on-screen:
    • The captions list/all mention "bighorn" as "Bighorn", and "big rig" as "Big rig".
    • When Blaze says "I can't let him get the cotton candy machine!", the captions say "I can'let him."
    • When AJ says "Come on, help us find 'em," the captions say "Help us find it."
    • When Blaze says "And big rigs are super strong!", the captions say "And g rigs."
    • When Blaze says "Come on, AJ, we gotta keep on truckin'!", the captions say "We gotta keep onrucking."
    • When Pickle says "Big Rig Pickle's about to put the hammer down!", the captions say "Big rig Pickles".
    • When Crusher says "Oh, Pickle, socks are not heavy!", the captions say "Oh, Pickles."
    • When AJ says "Uh-oh. But here comes another pirate to help his friend push!", the captions say "Ll, here comes".
    • When Stripes says "Rar! You did it, Big Rig Blaze!", the captions say "Ah, you did it."
    • A few of the captions for Big Rig Roll and the STEM song are incorrect.
      • It might be possible that the captions are broken, poor, not in sync, or they do not correspond to those lines.
  • Blaze's big rig transformation has several design inaccuracies; sadly, they didn't bother to fix them in Big Rig to the Rescue!.
    • Blaze's diesel engine is behind the driver's cab; actual big rigs have it under the driver's cabin or in front under a long-nose hood.
    • The trailer lacks any support legs and unlike actual big rigs, is permanently attached to Blaze.
    • Blaze's fuel tanks lack any filler caps.
    • The front end bears no resemblance to any actual design at all.
    • "Dual tires" actually mean two tires on one axle attached together, like "dually" pickup trucks. Not four tires on two axles.
