Main Characters Characters that are the central focus of the series, they appear in nearly every episode after their debut, and play a major and/or supporting role. Picture Name Description Blaze The show's titular character and main protagonist, a Monster Machine who loves racing and adventure. AJ The deuteragonist, Blaze's 8-year old driver who is an expert at technology. Crusher Rival of Blaze and AJ, a mean Monster Machine who cheats to win races, and gets upset when he loses or doesn't get what he wants, though he shows a soft side on occassion. He stars in his own occassional subplots throughout an episode. Pickle Sidekick of Crusher who's very polite and cautious unlike him, he watches out for Crusher and tries constantly to get him to listen. He's good friends with Blaze and the others. Gabby 9-year old mechanic of Axle City, she can fix almost anything. She often tags along with Blaze and AJ on an adventure. Becomes Watts' driver in Season 3. Stripes Monster Machine with the abilities of a tiger such as a high sense of smell and retractable claws. Lives in a treehouse in a jungle. Starla Cowgirl Monster Machine who's a lasso and roping expert and speaks with a Southern accent. Lives on a ranch outside of Axle City. Darington Monster Machine who enjoys doing tricks and stunts, though is often clumsy time to time. Zeg Dinosaur Monster Machine who enjoys smashing stuff, has limited vocabulary and speaks in broken English. Lives in a prehistoric cave. Watts Monster Machine with electric tires, she can make electricity and power up almost anything electric. Supporting/Recurring Characters Characters that have appeared in a handful of episodes, but rarely have any major effect on the plot. Some will occasionally play a major role in an episode, with many of the more relevant ones having an episode or two with them in a central role. Picture Name Description Bump Bumperman Host for the various events held in-universe for the show. Joe and Gus Two supereager trucks who are fans of Blaze. Swoops A helicopter who likes giving trucks a ride. Other Characters Characters that don't appear as often and have background or non-speaking appearances. Special Characters Characters that have exclusively appeared in the special themed episodes. Race Car Adventures Picture Name Description Rally, Dash and Fender Three race cars that Blaze befriends throughout his visits to VelocityVille. Mark Setgo Race car who acts as the commander to start races. Speaks in rhyme. Becky Checkerflag Acts as the announcer for the various VelocityVille events. Speedrick Main antagonist of Race Car Superstar. Locks the other race cars in tire locks so he can be the only one who goes fast. Wild Wheels Picture Name Description Bunk A friendly elephant who likes splashing water with his trunk, and the leader of the animals. Bam A gorilla who likes using her super strong arms to smash things. Skyler A falcon who likes flying through the air. Nelson A rhinoceros who likes ramming things with his keratin horn. Lazard Main antagonist of Animal Island. A chameleon who steals the animals' powers hoping to get one for himself. Wartimer and Snout Two wisecracking warthogs. Originally Lazard's henchmen, later served as comic relief for the events. Burt Black N' White A zebra who acts as the announcer for the various events on Animal Island. Tooks A toucan who's good at Jungle Ball. Thunderwing Main antagonist of Falcon Quest. A male falcon who teases Blaze for not having wings and demands to win the Super Sky Race.
