Firefighters to the Rescue Trivia Trivia Stripes, Starla, Zeg and Darington don't appear in the episode, and while Watts and Gabby appear, they only make silent cameos. This is the third time Gabby has appeared, but was limited to a silent cameo, and the first time for Watts. The first was Monster Machine Christmas, and the second was Five Alarm Blaze. Going by production order, this is the eleventh episode of the sixth season. This is the ninth episode with "Rescue" in the title and the fifth to end in "to the rescue", after Rocket Ski Rescue, Raceday Rescue, Robots to the Rescue, Construction Crew to the Rescue, Royal Rescue, AJ to the Rescue, The Big Balloon Rescue and Big Rig to the Rescue!. This is the threquel to Fired Up!. This is the third time when Blaze becomes a firefighter. The others being Fired Up! and Five Alarm Blaze. This is the third time where there 3 big emergencies. The others being Robots to the Rescue and The Mechanic Team!. The Fire Truck transformation returns for the first time since Season 2, and is significantly redesigned compared to the original animation style's version. It is also the third after the Wrecking Crane and Tow Truck to be used in both more than one season and both the original and updated animation styles. This is the first episode since The Hundred Mile Race where Blaze turns into another machine while still transformed as another vehicle. Like in that episode, Blaze does this twice in this episode. Throughout this episode, AJ sports a fireman's helmet while Blaze is a Firefighting vehicle. This episode aired 8 days before the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
