Jeff Borkin is the co-creator and executive producer of Blaze and the Monster Machines, Nickelodeon’s original CG-animated preschool series that debuted in 2014. Created with partner Ellen Martin, Blaze and the Monster Machines was the first preschool series to feature a curriculum dedicated to all areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Previously, Borkin served as the head writer of Nickelodeon's Team Umizoomi. He also served as head writer for the first three seasons, before being succeeded by Clark Stubbs. After Stubbs left the series, in it currently unknown if Borkin returned as head writer following his departure. Borkin's career in preschool television began in 1998 in new series development at the Jim Henson Company. Borkin spent two years there before joining the staff of Nickelodeon's Blue's Clues, where he earned multiple Emmy nominations for writing. In 2004, he became the head writer of Disney's Little Einsteins, and in 2008, Borkin rejoined Nickelodeon as head writer of the Emmy-winning preschool series, The Backyardigans. In 2012, he was part of the scripting team for Nickelodeon's revival of Winx Club.
