This is also the first time a miniseries character appears outside a miniseries.
This is also again the first time where Crusher and Pickle meet Commander Megan, since they only appear in the subplot of Robots in Space.
The episode title is read by Commander Megan instead of Blaze.
Blaze is going into space again like he did in Darington to the Moon! when he and AJ help Darington get more energy for his rocket battery to the moon, Robots in Space when he, AJ, Stripes, Darington, Starla, Zeg, Gabby, and Watts went into space to save Commander Megan, who crashed on Pluto, Space Alien Adventure! when Blaze and AJ met Gormy to help him get his batteries, and The Great Space Race when Blaze and AJ and even Crusher and Pickle were in a Space Race with Zork, Ula, and Zuzu.
When Commander Megan give the Badges to Blaze, AJ, Pickle and Crusher, they are the same as what happened in Truck Rangers.
In the end credits, pictures from the group's adventure is shown.
AJ stated that Olympus Mons is the biggest mountain in the solar system, that is true. Olympus Mons is 24.9 km high.
He also stated that the largest canyon in the world is Valles Marineris. It is around 2500 miles(4000 km).
Pickle wears a space helmet in this episode, but in The Great Space Race, he doesn't wear one.
Running Gags[]
Crusher randomly holds some discovering things from Mars and dropping them or crash whenever Pickle tells him to say "Mars!".
Allusions[]
Coincidentally, the title shares its name with an episode from The Backyardigans, another Nick Jr. show.
Goofs[]
There are less rocks from the top, and more at the next 30 seconds.
At some time when Pickle says "Hey, Crusher!", the captions accidentally list Crusher's name as "Crasher".
