Watts, Zeg and Sparkle don't appear in this episode.
This is also the first Season 7 episode where any of Blaze's gang (not counting AJ, Crusher and Pickle) appears.
This is the first episode of 2023 (although the credits claim it was produced in 2022).
This was also the first episode to air after a three-month hiatus.
On an additional note, this was the final episode to premiere during Nickelodeon's 2017 era. The next day after it premiered, it was rebranded with a much more splat style, to coincide with the Nickelodeon 2023 Kids Choice Awards.
Kensington Tallman now voices Gabby as of this episode.
This episode also marks the first appearance of Starla's farmhouse in the updated animation style. It has been a long time since it last appeared in Monster Machine Christmas.
Starla's farmhouse roof is now all colored purple and painted with her sheriff star icon, mostly to match her paintwork.
This is the first time Blaze transforms into an ambulance, hence what the episode's title is based on.
Starla can’t stop bouncing like Zeg couldn't in The Bouncy Tires.
Darington had a hole in his tire like Stripes did in Tow Truck Tough.
It's also similar to the Ice Cream Truck from Team Umizoomi, another Nick Jr. series.
This is the first time since Watts' debut (technically since Need for Blazing Speed) where another Monster Machine (Darington, Stripes and Starla, not counting Blaze, Crusher and Pickle) appears other than Watts in the same episode Gabby is in.
The rhythmic stomps/claps (akin to "We Will Rock You") in the Monster Dome return since they were last heard in Stuntmania!.
With this episode, the series has covered all three of the main emergency service branches (police, fire, and medical).
Running Gags[]
Pickle giving Crusher random things that are not what he needed.
This also includes Crusher to get attacked by a paramedic tool.
Allusions[]
Blaze in ambulance form bears an uncanny resemblance to a boxier Ford F-550 Super Duty (possibly 2017-2022) with a 2010-2014 F-150 SVT Raptor front (the latter also produced by Ford, which he is loosely based off of). Except no mirrors nor traditional side front window curve, etc.
Goofs[]
This is impossible as Stripes got a bump on his head, despite us knowing that cars get dents. Also, truck wrecks/crashes NEVER actually appear in the series at all.
When Blaze was fixing the bridge, the bandages go missing.
