This is the first episode to include mythical creatures.
Beginning this episode, Jakari Fraser replaces Ramone Hamilton as the voice of AJ.
This is the first time a unicorn is physically introduced in the series. All the other times they have been either stuffed toys or cloud shapes on Crusher and Pickle in The Big Balloon Rescue.
Based on the title, Blaze and AJ are knights in this episode.
This is the first episode in season 6 to have real magic. The last episode with magic was Abra-Ka-Pickle!
Someone gets trapped in a bubble, for this instance, Violet, for the fourth time, after the Monster Machine racers in Blaze of Glory, AJ and Gabby in Raceday Rescue and the baby animals in Babysitting Heroes.
This will air on the day of the Season 1 finale of the Disney Channel mystery series, Secrets of Sulphur Springs.
Second time Blaze transforms in his knight outfit.
Crusher and Pickle see Blaze drive by them like in their subplots in Big Rig to the Rescue!.
The subplot itself is a copy of the one from Fired Up!.
This is the second time the Green, Yellow, Purple and White Knights don't appear in a episode where Blaze and AJ turn into knights.
Crusher flies in a rocket but it goes out of control. This is a reference to Robots in Space.
Even though a dragon doesn't appear in this episode, Blaze transforms into one.
This is the first time Blaze turns into a mythical creature.
This is the first time Crusher smiles at the end of his third failure in his subplots.
Even though this episode's learning concept is division, the division sign isn't introduced. It was only shown on AJ’s calculator in The 100 Egg Challenge.
When we see Blaze and Violet jump into the air at the very end of the episode, we see that they're in a freeze frame state.
Iara Nemirovsky, who voices Violet, will later on voice the titular character of Ridley Jones, a 2021 Netflix preschool show.
Running Gags[]
Pickle pretends to be a unicorn trapped on a balcony in a tall cardboard tower. Crusher tries to save him but doesn't want to use the ladder, and ends up using something else to get him up there, but he fails and he falls off, leaving him dizzy.
Allusions[]
Violet being trapped in a bubble is a possible reference to the rest of the Mane 6 being trapped in bubbles by Tirek in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic's Season 4 finale "Twilight's Kingdom: Part 2".
The unicorns themselves are similar to the Main Six (Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy) and Spike, the show's six main protagonists.
The way how Blaze, AJ & the unicorns ride on the rainbow is similar to the Mario Kart series where the racers ride on the level Rainbow Road.
