Unlike those three episodes, where they are separated from each other with one rescuing the other, here, both Blaze and AJ together needed to be rescued.
Because of this, this is the first episode where both Blaze and AJ together are demoted to supporting roles, and a character other than them gets to star as the main protagonist and have more interaction with the viewers; in this case it's Sparkle. This is one of the few aspects in hinting that Sparkle may be the second introduction of a new main character in the series after Watts. Coincidentally, both are female.
This is the first season premiere where Blaze doesn't greet the viewer at the beginning.
Unlike this episode where he sends only Blaze and AJ, he also sends Sparkle.
When the invention was built, the Bye-bye Copter was the second cheat Crusher sent in the first episode, like the Trouble Bubble Wand in Blaze of Glory.
Starting this episode and onwards, the British Columbia logo is shown at the end of the credits.
Like all others, this season premiere aired before Season 6 finished airing.
Sparkle says the title of the episode instead of Blaze.
Sparkle also both say AJ and Crusher's names for the first time.
This is the ninth episode to have "Rescue" in the title.
The Bye-bye Copter does not destruct into pieces, but smoke, making it the sixth time Crusher's cheat vaporizes.
The song Blaze On was re-recorded in this episode to include Sparkle’s vocals.
This marks the second time chain reactions were taught after Dinosaur Parade.
This is also the second hearing of the chain reaction song.
This episode aired four exact years after "T-Rex Trouble" premiered.
Sparkle repeatedly saying, "Sparkle to the Rescue!". The episode's title even references this.
Crusher trying things not made for eating/drinking that Pickle sells while Rudy likes it, much to the last latter's obsession with disgustingness.
Allusions[]
Similar to AJ in "AJ to the Rescue", Sparkle going on a solo adventure to rescue both Blaze and AJ might be similar to the Dora the Explorer episode "Boots to the Rescue (coincidentally, both episodes have "Rescue" in the title, and both Sparkle and Boots are side characters), where Boots had to go on a solo adventure to deliver a song to Dora at school. This episode's overall plot might be also similar to the "Team Umizoomi" episode "Milli Saves the Day" (coincidentally, Sparkle and Milli are both female), where Milli had to go on a solo adventure to rescue Geo and Bot.
Goofs[]
There's a duplicate of AJ's line "It's your sister" in the captions.
