Zeg uses Blazing Speed for the fourth time since Race to Eagle Rock back in Season 2, and the first time in the updated animation style.
The grasshopper transformation makes use of Zeg's existing dinosaur features and reinterprets them as the insect's features. His nose horn is the grasshopper's head spike, the grasshopper mandibles are formed over his beak-like grill design, his frill becomes the wings, and his tail forms the abdomen, with the tow ball on the end replaced by a set of circe.
Zeg's Blazing Speed trail also gets a new redesign to now make it light green instead of lime green.
This is the only Season 3 episode whose airing order matches its production order.
This is Zeg’s last appearance in Season 3.

Zeg wouldn't have been able to jump on the caterpillars as grasshoppers are bigger than caterpillars in real-life.
When the camera zooms out to the honey factory as Blaze realizes it, Zeg is not transformed.
