While trapped in the hot air balloon, Crusher and Pickle get clouds stuck to their faces like how Crusher did in Runaway Rocket.
The hot air balloon doesn't have any cords connected to it to increase the fire in the torch or put out the fire, which probably explains why Crusher cannot get the balloon down.
The plot of the episode is the same as "Runaway Rocket", since both involve around Crusher and Pickle getting stuck on something that floats and it's up to Blaze and AJ to rescue them before they hit something dangerous.
This marks the final appearance of AJ's original chime for his Visor View.
Running Gags[]

Allusions[]
There is also an episode of Oswald (another former Nick Jr. show) titled "The Big Balloon Rescue".
Goofs[]
Before using Blazing Speed to go 100, AJ notes they've never gone that fast before. However, Blaze did go that fast in Axle City Grand Prix to escape the magnet Crusher turned on. Though it's truly possible that this takes place before that episode.
In the closed-captioning:
When Pickle says "And now we can go back to solid ground," "solid ground" is listed as "solidround".
When AJ says "Someone's calling for help!", "someone's" is listed as "someons".
