The Great Pizza Race Transcript Transcript Blaze and AJ are heading down the highway. Blaze Whoooo-hoo-hoo-hoo! AJ Yeah-heh-heh! Blaze (sniffs the air) Mmm! AJ What is it, Blaze? Blaze I don't know, but something smells yummy! AJ Hey, look over there! Nearby, a bunch of trucks are carrying pizzas. Green truck C'mon, everybody! Purple truck This way! AJ All those Monster Machines are carrying hot, delicious pizzas! Blaze Mmm! I love pizza! AJ Yeah, me too! Blaze (to the viewer:) What about you? Do you like pizza? Viewer gives their opinion. Blaze All right! AJ C'mon, let's see where they're going with all that pizza. He follows the smell to a nearby race. Blaze, AJ Whoa!/Wow! A fanfare sounds as AJ gets off. Blaze It looks like some kind of race! Pickle is hosting it. Pickle Hello, everybody! And welcome to the world's biggest and only pizza delivery race! Blaze and AJ Pizza delivery race? Pickle To win, racers will speed through a jungle and deliver pizzas to... hungry monkeys! Monkey noises are heard. Pickle And they'll zoom through the snow and deliver pizzas to... penguins! Penguins are heard cheering. Pickle And finally, they'll race to the finish line for one last delivery. A pizza for the world's hungriest elephant! Elephant trumpet is heard. Pickle It's...the Great Pizza Race! Crowd cheers. Pickle Racers, get your pizzas! All the trucks with pizzas line up and cheer. Blaze Hey, I've got an idea, AJ! Why don't we join the race too? AJ Us? In the Great Pizza Race?! Let's do it! (gets in) Blaze C'mon! Let's grab some pizza and get to the starting line! He loads some pizzas into his trunk and heads off. Pickle (giggles) Boy, oh, boy! These racers sure look fast! Crusher has joined the race as well. Crusher Fast?! Ha! None of these racers can deliver pizza faster than me! Pickle Wow! You heard it here, folks: A confident Crusher. He's sure that he can deliver pizzas faster than anyone. Including Blaze! Crusher Blaze?! Blaze honks, startling him. Blaze Heya, Crusher. AJ Good luck in the pizza race! Crusher (groans loudly) Pickle Get ready! Count down to start the Great Pizza Race in... 8 seconds! Count down with me. Start at 8. 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... GO! The race begins; a song plays. Blaze and AJ Everybody loves a pizza Pizza! AJ Some pepperoni with extra cheese (Ooh-whoa!) Blaze Sausage or ham than pineapple if you please (Oh-oh-oh) AJ Maybe veggies would hit the spot, we've got Blaze and AJ So many toppings (Yeah!), fresh and hot (Pizza!) Pizza, pizza, pizza, pizza (Uh-oh, uh-oh) A whole pie (Yeah!), so fun to slice (Oh-oh-oh) Pizza, pizza, pizza, pizza (Uh-oh, uh-oh; yeah!) Always a cheesy paradise (All right!) Your favorite food, no one needs to tell ya (Yeah!) Melt your heart with all that mozzarella (Whoo!) Everybody loves a pizza (Uh-oh, uh-oh) Pizza, pizza, pizza, pizza Pizza! Song ends. Changes to the monkeys' treehouse in the jungle. Pickle Pickle here, coming to you live from the jungle where hungry monkeys are waiting excitedly for their pizza. Three of them are waiting in their treehouse. Crusher (in distance:) Pizza delivery! (giggles) Pickle Oh-ho! Look! Here comes our first racer! It's Crusher! Crusher approaches and makes his delivery. Pickle He's climbing the ladder... He's at the treehouse... He's ringing the doorbell... Crusher Here you go! The monkeys cheer. Pickle He's got it! Can you believe it, folks?! Crusher is our first racer to bring pizza to the monkeys! Crusher Ha-ha! That's right, Pickle! I'm in first place! Pickle Tell us, Crusher. What's your secret to delivering pizza? Is it speed? Determination? Coconuts? Crusher (confused) Coconuts? He ends up standing under a tree of them; they drop on his head. Crusher (grunts) Coconutty...? Blaze's horn sounds. Pickle Hold that thought, Crusher. 'Cause look who's coming up right behind ya! (laughs) It's Blaze! Here he comes. Blaze Whooooo-hoo! Crusher Oh...!!! I can't let Blaze catch up! He approaches the ladder and giggles with an idea. Crusher And I know just the way to stop him! He kicks the ladder, breaking it. Crusher Blaze can't bring pizza to the monkeys if he can't get to the monkeys! He zooms off laughing as the ladder collapses completely; Blaze arrives. Blaze Hubcaps! The ladder's broken! AJ Uh-oh, but how are we gonna get to the treehouse and bring the monkeys their pizza? Blaze I know how! We can use... a simple machine! AJ Yeah! Simple machines make it easier to do work. Check it out! (shows screen) Here are all the different types of simple machines. To get to the monkeys, we can use this one: a pulley. Pulleys make lifting things easier. We just have to put heavy things on the other side of the pulley so that it goes down and Blaze goes up. Blaze Hey, look! Here's a pulley! It is on the other side of the treehouse. AJ (gets off) And we can use these coconuts to make the other side heavier! Blaze C'mon, let's add enough coconuts to make the other side weigh 12. They load the coconuts; Blaze stands on the pulley's elevator. Blaze All right! Let's see if the other side weighs 12. (7 appears) Is that the number 12? Viewer responds "No." Blaze Nope. That's only 7. AJ We'd better add more coconuts. More coconuts are added; 9 appears. AJ Is that the number 12? Viewer responds "No." AJ Uh-uh. It's only 9. Blaze We've gotta make the other side even heavier! More coconuts; 12 appears. Blaze Is that the number 12? Viewer responds "Yes." Blaze Yes! The pulley works. AJ Now that side of the pulley's going down... (reboards Blaze) Blaze And we're gooooing up! Yeah-heh-heh! Whoo! AJ Yeah! It worked! They reach the treehouse. Blaze Whoo-hoo! He puts the pizza at the window and rings the doorbell. AJ Pizza delivery! The monkeys arrive. Pickle Here you go: One large banana pizza! The monkeys cheer and chow down. Blaze, AJ (laughing) Blaze I think they like it! AJ keeps track. AJ Check it out! We delivered pizza to the monkeys in the jungle! So next we've gotta race to the snow and bring pizza to the penguins! Blaze So long, monkeys! The monkeys say goodbye as he slides down. Blaze Whoo-hoo! He goes on his way; STEM song starts. Blaze, AJ Simple machines Making work easier Yeah they make, make, make work easier Simple machines If you want to chop some wood An axe is a wedge that'll chop it good AJ That's what you need Simple machines Blaze, AJ To make a hard job easier Blaze Wheels and axels, levers and pulleys Blaze, AJ Wedge, screw, incline plane Simple machines Making work easier Yeah they make, make, make work easier Simple machines Got a heavy load to lift? An incline plane's gonna do the trick Simple machines, simple machines Simple machines! Song ends. Changes to the home of the penguins. Crusher Who's hungry for pizza? He delivers his pizza to the penguins. Crusher Pizzas for you, and pizza for you! I'm so good at delivering pizza! The penguins cheer. Pickle Unbelievable, folks! As you can see, Crusher is still in first place! Having just delivered pizzas to all these penguins! (catches up to him) Tell us, Crusher. What makes you such a talented pizza deliverer? Is it your sense of direction? Sense of humor? Sense that you're about to crash into a snowman? Crusher Crash into a snowman?!?! He does just that. Crusher (mumbling tiredly) Pickle Ah-ho, well, you -- (hears driving sounds) Wait a second. Looks like Crusher's not the only one bringing pizza to these penguins! (gasps) 'Cause here comes Blaze!!!! He sounds his horn and comes over a hill. AJ Yeah-heh-heh-heh! Crusher (shakes off the snow and sputters) But if Blaze catches up, then he could win the race! Oh...! I need some way to stop him so he can't deliver any more pizzas! I need... He dispenses junk from his bag which assemble into... Crusher A Super Snow Maker! It starts to gust up a snowstorm. Blaze (laughs) Nice snowin' ya, Blaze! (runs off laughing) Ha! The snowstorm floods Blaze all over. AJ Whoa! It's snowing really hard all of a sudden! Blaze Lug nuts! Look! That Super Snow Maker's covering all the igloos with snow! They all get buried. AJ (gets off) Oh, man! If we're gonna bring pizza to those penguins, we've gotta find some way to get through all this snow! Blaze Hey, I've got an idea! What if we build something to help us dig a tunnel through the snow? We'll make... an auger! AJ Yeah! (shows watch) Augers use a type of simple machine called a screw. When the screw turns, it moves stuff out of the way to make a tunnel. Blaze Come on! Let's get building and turn me into an auger! Transformation interface appears. Blaze First, we need a motor. It's what makes the screw blade spin. To make the motor, say "motor". Motor! Motor materializes. Blaze Next, we need a spring. It keeps the auger steady as we dig. To make the spring, say "spring". Spring! Spring materializes. Blaze Last, we need the screw blade to dig the tunnel. To make the screw blade, say "screw blade". Screw blade! Screw blade materializes. Blaze Oh-ho, yeah! I'm an Auger Mmmmmmonster Machine!! Blaze transforms; AJ gets on. He drills right through the snow. AJ It's working, Blaze! You're digging a tunnel through the snow! Penguin noises are heard. Blaze Listen! That sounds like penguins! AJ Yeah! We just have to figure out which way to dig to get to 'em. Blaze Help us look. To get to the first igloo, we could go up or down. Which way should we go: Up or down? Viewer responds "Down." Blaze Down, yeah! He digs that way. Blaze Whoooo-hoo-hoo! AJ Yeah-heh-heh-heh! They reach the igloo. AJ We made it! The penguins cheer; Blaze gives them the pizza. Blaze Here you go, penguins! One pizza with extra ice cubes! The penguins cheer. AJ Come on! Let's go look for the igloos. Blaze So long, penguins! The penguins say goodbye and they dig further; more are heard. AJ I hear more penguins! Blaze To get to their igloo, we could dig a tunnel to the left, or to the right. Which way should we go: Left or right? Viewer responds "Right." Blaze Right! He goes that way and reaches the igloo. AJ We found 'em! Blaze Special delivery! (gives the pizza) One large ice cream pizza! The penguins cheer. Blaze Enjoy! (continues digging) AJ Bye, penguins! We just have to deliver one last penguin pizza! The last penguins are heard. Blaze To get to the last igloo, we could go up, down, left, or right. Which way should we go? Viewer responds "Up." Blaze Up, yeah! He goes that way and reaches the igloo. Blaze Whoo-hoo-hoo! AJ All right! The penguins cheer as Blaze gives them the pizza. AJ Here you go, penguins! A fresh, delicious ice pop pizza! The penguins cheer. Blaze I think ice pop pizza's their favorite! AJ keeps track again. AJ Check it out! Now we've brought pizzas to the monkeys and the penguins! To win the Great Pizza Race, we just have to deliver one last pizza! Who do we bring the last pizza to? Viewer responds "The elephant." AJ The elephant, right! And he's at the finish line! Blaze See ya later, penguins! We've got a race to win! The penguins say goodbye as Blaze digs out. Blaze Whooooo-hoo-hoo-hoo! He goes on; changes to a forest. Pickle Here we are, folks: The homestretch! At the end of this road, a finish line where an elephant waits for his pizza, and the world waits to see who will be our champion! The elephant trumpets; Crusher's giggling is heard. Pickle (gasps) And just like that, here comes Crusher! Crusher That's right! And once I deliver this last pizza, I'll be the winner! Me, me, ME! (laughs loudly) Pickle (drives over) Gee, Crusher. It seems like there's nothing that can stop you now. Not the track, not the weather, not even that hole in the ground! Crusher Hole in the ground?!! He stumbles right over one but manages to stop himself; Blaze's horn sounds. Crusher Oh, no... i-i-it can't be... not... BLAZE!??! Here he comes; he falls into the hole. Crusher (mumbles) Blaze jumps right over the hole. Blaze Hey, Crusher. Need some help? Crusher (scoffs) No way! (tries to climb out but can't) Okay... maybe just a little, but -- (Blaze hooks him out) Aghh!! Blaze All right, Crusher! You ready to finish this race? AJ Yeah! Whoever gets their pizza to the finish line first wins! Crusher Ha! Well, I think we all know who that's gonna be! (laughs) ME! (zooms off and laughs) Yeah! Blaze AJ, gimmie some speed! He zooms off. AJ Whooo-hoo-hoo-hoo! Blaze Whoo-hoo! Ha-ha, yeah! They race for a bit. Crusher (between pants) Blaze... so fast... I need something to stop him... something like... like... THIS! He knocks over an oil barrel, laughing; it spills. AJ Blaze, look out! He slips in the oil. Blaze Whoaaaaaa!!! He drops the pizza. AJ Oh, no! There goes our pizza! It lands atop a mountain. Blaze Gaskets! It landed on top of that mountain! Crusher Ha-ha! See you at the finish line! (zooms off, laughing) Blaze Come on! We've gotta hurry and get that pizza back! He begins climbing; the mountain blasts out a giant ball of cheese. Blaze Huh. I wonder what that rumbling sound is. AJ Uh-oh, I think this mountain's erupting! Blaze Yeah! Erupting... giant balls of cheese?! WHOA! He dodges it. AJ Oh, man! How are we gonna get our pizza back without getting flattened by giant cheese balls?! Blaze I know what we need: Something that can break those giant cheese balls apart! We need... a wedge! (takes one out) AJ Yeah! (shows screen) A wedge is a simple machine that makes it easier to split things apart. Blaze Come on, AJ! It's wedge time! (begins climbing) Help us smash apart the cheese balls heading our way. Behind shot. Blaze When you see a giant ball of cheese, say "cheese ball". After some time, a cheese ball shows up; viewer responds. Blaze, AJ Cheese ball! He uses the wedge to split the cheese ball apart. Blaze It worked! AJ Yeah-heh-heh! Blaze Keep looking. If you see another giant cheese ball, say "cheese ball". Time passes, a cheese ball appears; viewer responds. Blaze, AJ Cheese ball! He splits it. AJ All right! Keep going, Blaze! Blaze When you see another one, say "cheese ball". Time passes, the cheese ball appears; viewer responds. Blaze, AJ Cheese ball! Split. Blaze Whooooo-hoo-hoo! AJ We're almost at the top! Blaze If you see any more cheese balls, say "cheese ball". Time passes, one more cheese ball appears; viewer responds. Blaze, AJ Cheese ball! Split. Blaze Oh-ho, yeah! He gets the pizza. AJ We got the pizza! Applause is heard. Blaze And look! There's the finish line! Crusher is almost there. AJ Uh-oh! But Crusher's almost there! Crusher (scatting) Blaze We've only got one chance to deliver our last pizza before Crusher! It's time to use... Blazing Speed! AJ Yeah-heh-heh! He deploys and fires up his Blazing Speed engine. Blaze To give me Blazing Speed, say "Leeeet's Blaze!" Blaze, AJ Leeeeeet's Blaaaaaze!!! He unleashes the speed and zooms back downhill. Crusher is almost there. Crusher Ha-ha! I knew it! Nobody's gonna deliver their pizza before me! Ha! Not even -- Blaze's horn sounds. Crusher BLAZE?!!!??! He zooms right past Crusher over the line, sending him spinning. Crusher (startled yelps) Pickle The winner of the Great Pizza Race is... BLAZE!!! He reaches the elephant and delivers the final pizza. Blaze Here you go, elephant! One large pizza with extra peanuts! The elephant trumpets and chows down. Blaze, AJ (laughing) AJ Whoa, that was one hungry elephant! Pickle Ha-ha! Congratulations, Blaze and AJ on your amazing win! Now, are you ready to see your prize? Blaze, AJ Our prize?! Pickle (giggles) I'll take that as a yes! A trophy rises out of the floor. Pickle Here it is: The one, the only... Gold Pizza Trophy!! Wild applause. AJ Wow! Blaze Whoa-ho-ho! Pickle And the best part is: This trophy doesn't just look like pizza, it also makes pizza! The trophy launches out pizza slices. AJ (laughs) Both Blaze and AJ chow down. Blaze Mmm! AJ It's delicious! Blaze Hey, everybody! Who feels like having... a pizza party?!! He serves pizza for everyone as the song from before reprises. Blaze, AJ Pizza, pizza, pizza, pizza (Uh-oh, uh-oh) A whole pie (Yeah!), so fun to slice (Oh-oh-oh) Pizza, pizza, pizza, pizza (Uh-oh, uh-oh; yeah!) Pizza, pizza, pizza, pizza Pizza!
