The Pirate Grand Prix Transcript Transcript Blaze and AJ are sailing the ocean on a pirate ship. Blaze and AJ (laughing)/Yeah-heh-heh! (laughs)/Woo-hoo!/All right! Blaze (to the viewer:) Ahoy there! AJ and I are sailing the seas with the greatest pirate in the whole world. Our friend... Pegwheel swings down on a rope from the top of the mast. Blaze Pegwheel! Pegwheel (to the viewer) Welcome aboard, mateys! Pegwheel flips the ship as Blaze and AJ enjoy the ride a bunch. After AJ notices something. AJ Whoa! Check out all those pirates. Pirates appear headed for an island. Blaze Looks like they're headed for that island Pegwheel Pirates? Island? Come on, mateys. Let's go have a look-see. AJ All right! Pegwheel (singing) Yo-ho-ho, away we go! Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel (cheering) Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel sail towards the island as they approach the shore and discover the island while pirates greet them. Blaze and Pegwheel Woo-hoo!/Yah-har! Pirate Nice to see you. Blaze Looks like all the pirates are here for some kind of pirate race! Bump Bumperman announces the race. Bump Bumperman Ahoy, monster machines! Get ready for the most pi-radical race on the seven seas! It's the Pirate Grand Prix! Dissolve to the areas of the race. Bump Bumperman To win, pirate racers will have to speed through a shipwreck canyon, sail across a blue lagoon, and fly a hot air balloon to the top of Pirate's Peak! And whoever gets there first will win the arr-mazing treasure trophy! Pegwheel A treasure trophy? (giggles) 'Tis the most beautiful treasure I've ever seen. Blaze Hey, Pegwheel, I've got an idea. Why don't you join the Pirate Grand Prix too? AJ Yeah! Then you could win the treasure trophy. Pegwheel Shiver me timbers! I've never been in a race before. Blaze That's okay, Pegwheel! AJ Yeah! We can be... Blaze and AJ Pirate racers! Pegwheel Yo-ho-ho! We all be pirates now! AJ We sure arrrrr. Blaze and AJ (laughing) Blaze Now come on mateys! Let's get to that starting line. AJ and Pegwheel Yeah-heh-heh!/Yo-ho-ho! In the background, Crusher and Pickle appear behind the seats. Crusher Get out of my way! Pirate Crusher, coming through! Pickle plays a pan flute. Pickle (clears throat). (singing) Oohhh! Make way for Pirate Crusher. He wants to win the race. So long as ye olde pirate hat, does not fall in your face. Crusher Fall in my face? Crusher's hat falls in his face and he crashes into barrels. Crusher approaches the starting line with the other racers (and Blaze) as Bump announces when the racers go. Bump Bumperman Racers, arr ye ready? Racers cheer. Bump Bumperman Then on your marks, get set, GO! The race starts as a song plays in the background. Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel Ahoy, yo-ho!, and here we go On another grand adventure (Chorus: Yo-ho!) We sail the seas, the way we please In a race to find the treasure It's the Pirate Grand Prix Accelerate right out the gate (Chorus: Yo-ho!) Pirate Grand Prix Tell me, arr you ready? For the Pirate Grand Prix Hit the gas, we're going fast (Chorus: Yo-ho!) Pirate Grand Prix Tell me, arr you ready? (Chorus: Yo-ho!) Pirate (Chorus: Pirate) Grand Prix (Chrous: Grand Prix) Pirate Grand Prix Pirate Grand Prix Yo-ho! The song ends as Crusher and Pickle is seen driving in Shipwreck Canyon. Pickle Wow Crusher! You're doing so great in the Pirate Grand Prix. Let's celebrate with a song. Pickle plays a pan flute Pickle (clears throat). (singing) Yo-ho for pirate Crusher. He's an arr-some pirate guy. He's racing down the track and heeee Crusher And he what? Pickle Huh. I can't think of a word that rhymes with "guy". Crusher Oooh! How about pie? Pickle That's perfect! (singing) He's racing down the track and he's headed for a pie! Crusher Headed for a pie?! Crusher crashes into the pie. Blaze's horn honks signaling Crusher that Blaze and Pegwheel are getting closer. Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel (cheering) Crusher Oh-no! Pegwheel and Pirate Blaze?! I can't let them win the race. I know. (giggles) I'll stop them with a super sneaky pirate cheat! I'll make... His iris bag opens as he summons... Crusher Robo-Crabs! (giggles) Go on Robo-Crabs! Snap to it! (laughs) Crusher drives away Pegwheel (laughs) You mateys didn't tell me racing could be so much fun! Why I'm having the best day ever. Blaze Pegwheel, look out! Pegwheel Shiver me timbers! Thar be a giant robo-crab! Robo-crab giggles AJ Oh-man! To win this race, we've got to find some way to make ourselves go really high and get over the crabs! Blaze Yeah! We need something that gives us enough altitude. Pegwheel Altitude? Tell me more. AJ Check it out. (shows screen) Altitude is how high something is in the air. Right now, Blaze and Pegwheel are on the beach. But if they ride off those shipwrecks, it can launch them with enough altitude to go over the robo-crabs! Pegwheel Well what are we waiting for me hearties? Let's try it. Blaze Let's see. If we ride off the purple ship, we'll jump to this altitude and if we ride off the green ship, we'll jump to this altitude. Which one will get us over the Robo-Crab? The purple or green? The viewer responds the purple ship. Blaze Purple yeah! That will give us enough altitude to go over the robo-crab! Pegwheel Yo-ho-ho! Here we go! Blaze, AJ and Pegwheel (cheering) Pegwheel Ya-har. Altitude be fun. Another robo-crab giggles. AJ Look! Another robo-crab! And this one's even bigger! Blaze Quick! Let's use one of those shipwrecks to jump over it. If we jump off the blue ship, we'll have this altitude. If we jump off the orange ship, we'll have to this altitude. Which one will get us over the Robo-Crab? The viewer responds "orange ship". Blaze The orange ship. Yeah! Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel (cheering) Pegwheel Huzzah for altitude! AJ Look! There's just one more robo-crab! The last crab giggles Pegwheel Yar! But that be the biggest crabby yet! Blaze If we jump off the yellow ship, we'll have this altitude. If we jump off the red ship, we'll have this altitude. If we jump off the brown ship, we'll have this altitude. Which one will get us over the Robo-Crab? The viewer responds "yellow ship". Blaze The yellow one! Yeah! Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel (cheering) Pegwheel Altitude ahoy! A STEM song plays as they continue the race. Crusher (giggles) I'm gonna be the first racer to cross the Blue Lagoon! Pickle This calls for a song. Pickle plays the pan flute. Pickle (singing) Yo-ho for Pirate Crusher. He sailed the seven seas. He's racing down the track and heeee. Crusher And he what? Pickle Hmm. I need a word that rhymes with "seas". Crusher Oooh! How about cheese? Pickle Ha. Genius. (singing) He's racing down the track and he's headed for some cheese! Crusher Headed for some cheese?! Crusher crashes into the cheese. Crusher Uh, yuck! Blaze's horn honks again signaling Crusher that Blaze and Pegwheel are getting closer to Blue Lagoon. Crusher Oh no! Blaze and Pegwheel are catching up. Aww I got to do something. Ah-ha! I know what'll stop 'em. (giggles). Crusher goes to the boats and he hops aboard Blaze's boat, making it sink. Crusher They can't catch me if their boat sinks to the bottom of the blue lagoon! (laughs). As Crusher leaves, Blaze and Pegwheel approach the Blue Lagoon watching their boat sink. Blaze and AJ Hubcaps!/Our boat! Crusher Oops! I sink you're gonna lose the race now. (laughs). Blaze Gaskets! How are we gonna get across the Blue Lagoon without a boat? Pegwheel (laughs) Fear not, mateys! Pegwheel knows someone we can call for help. Pegwheel plays his flute. After the tune a whale appears. Blaze Whoa! AJ Look! A giant whale! Pegwheel Blaze, AJ! I want you to meet me best whale pal, Whalinda! Blaze Hi, Walinda! AJ Nice to meet you! Whalinda responds in whale call. Pegwheel Whalinda can give us a ride across this here Blue Lagoon. But she's gonna need a lot of energy for such a big journey. Blaze Hey I've got something that can give Whalinda energy: Snacks! From my picnic basket. Pegwheel Shiver me timbers! That's perfect! Whalinda agrees in whale call. AJ Now we just need to figure out which snacks Whalinda likes to eat. Check it out. (shows screen) The foods in the green circle are ones she likes. And the foods in the red circle are the ones she doesn't like. Pegwheel A-ha! What about an apple? AJ The apple is in the red circle. That means Whalinda doesn't like apples. Whalinda disagrees. Blaze Oooh! Maybe she'd like a pineapple instead. AJ Let's check! Where do you see a pineapple? Viewer responds "in the green circle". AJ There, yeah! It's in the green circle. That means Whalinda likes pineapples! Pegwheel Here you go, Whalinda! A nice juicy pineapple! Whalinda eats it and gets energy to take Blaze and Pegwheel across the lagoon. Blaze Woo-hoo-hoo! AJ It worked! Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel (cheering) Whalinda starts to lose energy. Blaze Looks like Whalinda is slowing down. Pegwheel Aye. We better look for another snack to give her more energy. How's about some bananas? AJ Quick! Let's check and see if Whalinda likes bananas. (shows screen) Are the bananas in the green circle or the red circle? Viewer responds "the green circle". AJ The green circle. Yeah! That means they're one of her favorite snacks! Pegwheel One banana bunch coming up! Pegwheel throws the bananas to Whalinda and Whalinda gets more energy to travel Blaze and Pegwheel. Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel (cheering) Pegwheel Look me hearties! There be the other side of the Blue Lagoon! Whalinda loses energy again. Blaze To get there, we need to feed Whalinda one last snack. Pegwheel Shiver me timbers! Those grapes be the only snack foods we've got left! AJ Let's see. (shows screen) Does Whalinda like grapes? Viewer responds "yes". AJ Yeah! The grapes are in the green circle. That means Whalinda loves grapes. Pegwheel Happy snacking Whalinda! Pegwheel throws the grapes to Whalinda, giving her more energy to travel and Blaze and AJ depart. Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel (cheering) Pegwheel Thanks for the ride, Whalinda! Whalinda replies. Blaze There it is! The treasure trophy! Pegwheel Well blow me down! 'Tis so beautiful! Blaze Come on, Pegwheel! If we want that trophy, we gotta hurry and win this race! AJ Yeah! Full speed ahead! Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel (cheering) Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel continue while Crusher and Pickle approach the hot air balloons. Crusher (giggles) All I've gotta do is fly this hot air balloon to the top and the treasure trophy's all mine. Pickle Now that sounds like something to sing about. Pickle plays the pan flute again. Pickle (singing) Yo-ho for Pirate Crusher. Flying his balloon. Way up to the finish line aaaand. Crusher And? Pickle Huh. I need a word that rhymes with balloon. Crusher (scoffs) That's easy. What about spoon? Pickle I love it! (singing) He's flying his balloon up to the finish line and watch out for the spoon! Crusher Spoon?! A spoon falls on Crusher's head. Blaze's horn honks again signaling Crusher that they are close. Pickle Oooh! Look who's almost at their hot air balloon! It's Blaze and Pegwheel. Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel (cheering) Blaze and Pegwheel ride their hot air balloon. Crusher Blaze and Pegwheel?! (groans) They've almost caught up. But I can't let them beat me to the treasure trophy! There's only one way to stop 'em. I'll make... His iris bag opens as he summons... Crusher Chomping Sky Sharks! (laughs) Back to Pegwheel and Blaze. Pegwheel Hardy-har! Nothing can stop us now. Except maybe those Sky Sharks! Sky Sharks Chomp, chomp, chomp! The sky sharks head for Blaze and Pegwheel's balloon, biting a hole through it and the balloon deflates down to the ground. Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel (screaming) Pegwheel Woe is me. Our balloon be popped. Now we'll never win the Pirate Grand Prix. (sobbing). AJ Aww. Don't give up, Pegwheel. Blaze Yeah. We can still get to the finish line. We just need a new vehicle to fly us there. We need...Pirate Planes! Pegwheel Yar! I like the sound of that. Blaze Come on! Let's get building. Blaze and Pegwheel jump up as their transformation interface appears. Blaze To make pirate planes, the first things we need are the propellers to push us through the air. To give us propellers, say "propellers". Blaze and Pegwheel Propellors! Propellors materializes. Pegwheel Oooh! What do you say now we make some wings? Blaze Yeah! Wings can give our planes lift so they'll fly. To make the wings, say "wings". Blaze and Pegwheel Wings! Wings materializes. Pegwheel Yo-ho-ho-ho! Blaze Now all we need are the tails. Tails let planes move up and down in the sky to change their altitude. To give us tails, say "tails". Blaze and Pegwheel Tails! Tails materializes. Pegwheel Aye. We be Pirate Plane... Blaze and Pegwheel Monster Machines! AJ Oh, wow! Pegwheel Hardy-har! Yo-ho-ho, up we go! Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel (cheering) They approach the Sky Sharks. AJ Pirate Planes, look out! Sky Sharks straight ahead! Pegwheel Avast! To get past all those Sky Sharks, we'll be needing to fly super high! AJ Yeah! To fly over the Sky Sharks, we need to increase our altitude all the way to 100. Blaze Count by tens with us to 100. Repeat after me. Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100. The sky sharks come together and crash out into a cloud. Blaze, AJ, and Pegwheel (cheering) AJ We did it! Blaze We got past the Sky Sharks! Pegwheel And look mateys. There she is. Blaze Pirate's Peak! AJ Uh-oh! But Crusher's almost there! Pegwheel (gasps) What will we do, Pirate Blaze? Blaze Our only chance now is to fly super fast. It's time for pirate blazing speed. He deploys the boosters and shares the energy with Pegwheel. Pegwheel Whoo! (laughs) Blaze (to the viewer:) To give us pirate blazing speed, say "Leeeet's Blaze!". Blaze, AJ, Pegwheel Leeeet's Blaze! (cheering) They zoom off and pass Crusher. Crusher Whoa! Pickle Whee! They continue and Bump announces the winners. Bump Bumperman Blaze and Pegwheel win the Pirate Grand Prix! Blaze, AJ, Pegwheel (cheering) The treasure trophy opens and Blaze and Pegwheel transform back to normal. Blaze We did it Pegwheel! We won the race and earned the treasure trophy. They adore the treasure. Pegwheel Shiver me timbers! It's beautiful. AJ Hey, Pegwheel! What do you think we should do with all this treasure? Pegwheel TREASURE PARTY!!! The song from the beginning reprises as Blaze, AJ, Crusher, Pickle, Pegwheel, and the other pirates have a party.
