Treasure Track Trivia Trivia Stripes, Starla, Darington and Zeg don't appear in this episode. Pegwheel announces the title of the episode instead of Blaze. Pegwheel is the second character other than Blaze to read the title after Darington in Darington to the Moon!. This is the second appearance of Pegwheel after Race to the Top of the World. He is shown to have formed a friendship with Blaze and his friends after winning the race in said episode. This is the second time Blaze is shown singing onscreen after Truck Rangers. This is the fifth time a bighorn shows up. The first was Stuntmania!. The second was The Team Truck Challenge. The third was Sneezing Cold. The fourth was Monster Machine Christmas. This is the third time Gabby spends the whole episode with Blaze after Sneezing Cold and Axle City Grand Prix. This is also the first and so far only time where Gabby introduces the viewers by herself. The tunnel Blaze and Pegwheel go through uses the same exterior from Spark Bug and the same interior from Piggy 500. This marks the first Blaze uses Blazing Speed while AJ is not aboard. The alligators encountered at Gator Lagoon use the same appearance as the crocodiles who will be introduced later on in The Wishing Wheel. This is the first time a diagram of the STEM concept is presented on a digital device instead of AJ skywriting it. In this case, Gabby shows it on her tablet. This becomes more common as of the third season animation switch. This became much more common as of Season 3, especially in the new animation style, replacing the skywriting almost completely. The captions list Pegwheel’s name as Peg-Wheel. When AJ says “When you put heat, fuel, and oxygen together in a cannon, boom!”, the word “boom” is written in ALL CAPS in the captions. Running Gags Pegwheel singing randomly. A crab repeatedly pinching Crusher. Allusions Goofs Blaze and Pegwheel go through the same tunnel twice; first during the travel song, and again during the STEM song. During the STEM song when Blaze enters the cave, Gabby doesn’t have her seatbelt on. When the camera pans across Booby Trap Bridge, drills are shown on the second section while spiked balls are on the third, but when Blaze and Pegwheel cross, the drills and spiked balls have switched places. When Blaze and Pegwheel sing before going to the second location, the music note symbol is not displayed in the closed-captions. The title card accidentally spoiled what the treasure was.
