Makayla had the time of her life all throughout the episode, whether it was helping Blaze and AJ with problems, or talking to her new friends, or beating Crusher and having cake after the race. She even had a blast when Blaze used Blazing Speed. But, Makayla didn't wanna go back to the orphanage. She wandered away from the celebration and sat down. Blaze and AJ noticed her leaving and followed her to a couple of trees. Pickle noticed from afar and alerted Crusher. "She looks sad."
"Huh. We'd better see what's wrong," said Crusher, wiping the rest of the splattered cake off of his tire. Makayla saw them coming. "Oh, hi, guys." Blaze seemed deeply concerned. "Makayla, is everything okay?" he asked. Makayla then started to tear up. "I don't wanna go back to the orphanage," she sobbed. "I wanna stay with all of you and use Blazing Speed, and finally have a real home."
Blaze felt so bad for her, and Crusher did, too. "Aww, it's okay. We know you can't stay here..." Makayla's face fell, hoping Blaze would say that she could stay with them. "...but, we know a way you can see us again." He turned to AJ. "AJ, you still have it?" AJ nodded and pulled something out of the cab. It was a necklace, matching Blaze's flame. Makayla put it on. "It's a special necklace," he explained. "Whenever you want, you can wish yourself back here."
"And, whenever you want, you can wish yourself back home," Blaze added. Makayla didn't know what to say. "Oh, thanks, you guys!" She pulled Blaze, AJ, and Pickle in for a hug. Crusher as saddened he didn't get a hug, but at the last minute, Makayla gave him a little squeeze. She stepped to the side and wished to go home. "Bye, Makayla!" the 4 cried, waving as in a flash of light, she was gone. Even though she didn't have a home, Makayla finally found new friends.
